Make sure you have the following tools installed before working on any of the projects
1. Visual Studio 2017 Community Edition found at bit.ly/vs2017-download
During your Visual Studio 2017 installation
Step 4 - Select workloads
make sure you select the following at a minimum (you can select more at the cost of hard drive space)ASP.NET and web development
.NET Core cross-platform development
If you already installed Visual Studio 2017 and don't remember which Workloads were installed, then search for the Visual Studio Installer on your Windows machine
Run the Visual Studio Installer and select the Modify button to see all the Workloads that can be installed. Make sure you check and install the two Workloads highlighted above: ASP.NET and web development and .NET Core cross-platform development
Important! Install the following add-ons for Visual Studio 2017, make sure you close Visual Studio 2017 before installing these add-ons

- Format on Save found at bit.ly/format-onsave
